About
Administrative data from the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) rural road construction program, which was launched by the Govt. of India to provide connectivity to unconnected Habitations as part of a poverty reduction strategy.
PMGSY data originate at the habitation level; habitations are smaller than villages. For each village, the road variables describe the earliest new and upgraded roads completed within a shrid. Additional fields from OMMS can be obtained with the data repository included in Asher and Novosad (2020) at the Harvard Dataverse.
